Session Descriptions

To help you choose the most effective workout for you, our sessions are suitable for all levels of fitness and ability and we welcome both the absolute beginner and regular exerciser to all of our classes.  Your instructors are professionally qualified to deliver mixed ability classes and will offer a variety of intensity and complexity to ensure you all get a safe, effective and enjoyable workout.  To help here is a brief description of the levels:-

Level 1 - Suitable for the absolute beginner and those who are returning to exercise.

Level 2 - Designed for those with a moderate fitness level i.e. can comfortably sustain around 30 minutes of continuous or intermittent activity.

Level 3 - For the regular exerciser who likes to work out at a higher level

 

Aerobics - Levels 2-3

A fusion of dance based aerobics and high energy music makes Aerodance a 'must try' class.  Suitable for those who enjoy freestyle dance and fitness, with the added creativity of challenging and choreographed routines, club and dance floor music.  Aerodance is multi-levelled, therefore suitable for all fitness and ability levels.

 

Body Conditioning - All Levels 1-3

An all-over workout designed to promote a stronger and fitter body.  Each sessions will include a variety of fun and effective fitness exercises to keep you focused and motivated towards your health and fitness goals. The class will include a mixture of low-high cardio work, functional toning and strengthening exercises and circuit based routines to add variety and interest to your workouts!

 

Core Conditioning - All Levels 1-3

This class focuses on the muscles that make up a strong core and help develop muscular endurance, improved posture, a strong lower back and toned abs, using equipment such as Fitballs, TRX, weights, bands and much more!

 

Circuit Training - All Levels 1-3

The classic workout for men and women of all ability levels is back! Fun, effective fitness interval training for everybody looking to improve their fitness, increase health and vitality, improve sports performance and workout at their own level in a fun and safe class!

 

All Levels 1-3

Fitness Bootcamps can be run both indoors and outdoors and involve circuit and interval based exercises for the whole body.  Using some of the latest fitness equipment and proven workout techniques these sessions are a fun, effective and motivating way for all fitness levels to lose weight, increase muscle strength and endurance come rain or shine! Each session consists of the latest advanced and effective exercises to help you achieve your goals.  No military style beastings, just lots of motivation, partner work, team challenges and supportive individual focus, makes this the perfect session for all levels of fitness.  Outdoor Bootcamps run from June to Mid September.

 

All Levels 1-3

Fitness Boxing is the ultimate in calorie crunching, strength building and stress reliving fitness sessions! It includes partner work with boxing gloves and pads for the real fighting experience.  No need to have a partner nor any previous boxing experience, just turn up have fun and get one amazing workout!

 

Fight FX - All Levels 1-3

Fight fx uses mixed martial arts programming and training techniques to enhance body composition and elevate fitness levels.  This multi-peak workout features upper and lower body conditioning drills, as well as solo and partner-based fight sequences whihc incorporate kicks, punches, strikes and blocks.  Develop musular strength, speed, power and endurance, decraese body fat and incraese lean body mass! LBT - Legs, Bums & Tums - All Levels 1-3

This body conditioning class from bpm active focuses on those hard to train areas and help to develop tone, strength and shape to your legs, bums and tums.  Core endurance training, multi-directional functional exercises and a variety of fun resistance workouts will leave you feeling stronger, slender and sexier!

 

All Levels 2-3

Using barbells and weight plates, Pump FX provides a progressive, complete-body workout to the latest and greatest in chart and club anthems.  Traditional resistance training exercises such as squat, lunges, presses and rows take on another dimension through the use of functional, multi-plane movement.  With an emphasis on intensity and technique, this interval-based workout targets individual muscle groups to improve body composition.

 

Running Groups - Levels 1-2

We offer absolute Beginners and Intermediate Running Groups for both men and women. These programmes run over 10 weeks and are progressive and fully supported.   Group members will be encouraged and kept motivated in a fun and non-competitive environment.  Running regularly will help improve your fitness levels, help you lose weight and tone up the whole body.

 

Step Intervals - All Levels 1-3

High energy, easy to follow and effective fat burning routines, plus muscular strength and endurance exercises taught in an interval format. Each work interval lasts from 4-10 minutes with rest periods in between and gives an all over, time saving workout which will have you burning calories even after your workout! A massively effective power and resistance training class using the Step platform for added fun and variety!

 

Step Classes

Level 1/2 - This class is aimed at those new, or with some experience of Step classes.  The emphasis is on basic step moves and correct stepping technique and progressing these moves to challenge your body to achieve an all-over workout!  Whatever your level of ability and fitness, this workout will provide a fun and effective compliment to your fitness regime.

Level 2/3 - This class is designed for those with some experience of Step classes and are of a moderate to high fitness and ability level. The routines may include challenging combinations, which will be broken down and layered with elements of power, rhythms, direction, travel and turns to produce a stylised routine and energising workout for the mind and body!

 

All Levels 1-3

Using the versatile and classic Step platform, this workout will leave you invigorated, looking and feeling great! An effective balance of body sculpting using resistance bands and fat burning exercises will help you to achieve your health and fitness goals.

 

Street Dance Fitness - All Levels 1-3

Dance your way to fitness with routines inspired from Street Dance and Hip Hop and Urban Funk.  Easy to follow and aimed at all levels this workout makes fitness fun, massively motivating and a 'must try' for all fitness and dance enthusiasts.
